The fun thing with moving into a new place is that there are a lot of little jobs to make the place comfortable and livable. This set of shelves used to be a doorway so the shelves are shallow and slightly unusable. It is right outside the bathroom so I use it to store lotion, etc., but our grooming supplies need not be in plain sight for everyone. A $2 curtain rod and a piece of fabric fixed it right up. I'm going to use the extra fabric to make a valence for the bathroom. I'm still looking for a valence pattern that I like, but stay tuned...

The curtain isn't as full as I wanted so if you attempt this, use more fabric than you would think you need to. I got the curtain rod at Shopko, it's just a tension rod so it doesn't need to be screwed in anywhere, it's perfect for this little project.
